Traffic reports live from Global 1 – Edmonton’s first and only television news helicopter – helps viewers plan the best route for their morning commute. The Morning News on Global Edmonton is Edmonton’s favourite morning news program delivering more than 3 times the audiences than the competition combined!

Audiences especially look forward to a monthly feature in the News Hour – Your Town – created and hosted by Gord Steinke. Your Town has Gord heading out to rural Alberta communities to profile our province’s hidden gems and tell their stories.

Global Edmonton has your weekend news covered with the EVENING NEWS at 6pm, followed by NEWS FINAL at 11pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Global News anchor, Carolyn Jarvis takes viewers through the weekend with this busy half hour of local, national and international headlines. Weather anchor, Duane English provides viewers with the weekend weather forecast and a look ahead at temperatures for the following week. Dean Millard rounds out the weekend newscasts with a comprehensive look at Sports – both amateur and professional.

The Evening News broadcasts Saturday and Sunday from 6pm to 6:30pm.
