Metropolis-Cirque du Soleil Corteo Objectives - "Let out the Cirque inside of you"
Corteo is a Cirque du Soleil production coming to Vancouver June 12-July 13, 2008.
The goal was to drive traffic to the mall to watch the contestants audition live on March 29th in front of a panel of judges, including Global’s Erin Cebula. OverviewMetropolis ran a promotion tied to Entertainment Tonight Canada for viewers to send in their audition tapes and win tickets to be the first to see Corteo in Seattle, WA and a chance for their audition tape to be reviewed by a Cirque du Soleil Talent Scout. HighlightsGlobal initiated the ‘bringing together’ of 2 organizations (Cirque and Metropolis), joining to create to one amazing promotion.
Both organizations benefited greatly. Corteo created awareness and hype for their show. Metropolis received increased traffic at the mall, while connecting with the respected and magical brand of Cirque du Soleil and Entertainment Tonight Canada.
SuccessThe turnout to see the auditions was fabulous (see photos) and positioned Metropolis as a mall that is connected to the community. They have been the only venue outside the ‘Grand Chapiteau that the general public can get a Sneak Peek of Cirque du Soleil. |
