BCI Market

BC Interior Television (BCI) is a combination of two television stations. CHBC (E! Kelowna) delivers the Shuswap, Okanagan, and Similkameen regions plus CJFC (E! Kamloops) delivering the Thompson-Nicola and Cariboo regions. For your convenience, one booking under BCI will deliver both regions as one television market. (see map for details)

BCI also represents Global/CHAN in these regions as well as the West Kootenay/Boundary regions should regional advertisers require campaigns for the West Kootenay/Boundary markets. (see map for details)

BCI is a Solid Television Investment!

Okanagan/Kamloops is the 11th largest English television market with over 574,738 viewers. Retail sales are 18% higher than the national average with 7.5 billion in retail sales. (Source: Fall 2007 Television BBM & Financial Post 2007)

Residential and commercial construction continues at a strong pace throughout the BCI market with several high rise condo projects underway for 2008/09 and new resort subdivisions that are being developed with golf courses. The new William R. Bennett floating bridge was opened in May 2008 and will have a positive economic impact on the Central Okanagan as the five lane bridge eases traffic congestion.

The University of BC Okanagan has plans underway for both engineering and medical faculties. (www.ubc.ca)

As a major tourist destination, the Okanagan/Kamloops region attracts visitors to four world class ski resorts, over 45 golf courses and a endless water sports choice with pristine rivers and lakes. (www.totabc.com)

Known for fruit orchards, the Okanagan Valley has more recently been recognized as the Napa Valley of the North with over 100 wineries producing world class wines. The annual Spring and Fall Okanagan Wine Festivals have been named in the top 100 world class events. (www.TheWineFestivals.com)
