12th Week of Canwest Fall Season
Canwest Programming Highlights:
Three were in the Top 10. House rebounded from last week securing more ratings than projection. The recovery was sufficient to earn the drama the week's top spot. Heroes had difficulty in sustaining female viewers. Last week's gains went the opposite direction. The change however didn't alter the rankers on most demos; it won the night and remained 8th overall 18-49. Bones was the week's success story leaping way higher across all demos. A25-54 and F25-54 charted new heights posting more than double their respective projection. Female demo approached 13.
Survivor: Gabon was a recap drawing less attention. It managed to stay in Top 10 A25-54. Numb3rs dominated Friday's primetime while Brothers & Sisters just hit projection.
Canwest accounted for 10/11/10/11 of the Top 25 against key demos, A18-49, A25-54, F25-54 and A18-34.
Competitive Programming:
The Canucks in Calgary gave CBC double-digit ratings ranked second overall. Interestingly the game attracted less 18-34. Fringe doubled viewership from last week improving its rankers all the way to Top 10.
Year to Year:
Here's what was happening on television this week last year:
House reigned on top. That's five weeks in a row. The Amazing Race was runner-up followed by Heroes and Survivor: China.
