For the first time ever in the history of the show, the Emmy-nominated series broadens its scope by searching internationally for the world’s funniest comedian. The fun kicks off with scouts Alonzo Bodden (season 3 winner), ANT and Kathleen Madigan traveling across the globe to find the best professional and aspiring comedians. They stop in London, Montreal and Sydney, Australia, before moving on to Los Angeles, New York, Minneapolis, San Antonio and Tempe. Each week, viewers will vote which comedian gets sent home – and which one will be the Last Comic Standing.
From Simon Cowell comes American Inventor – greatest search for America's best new invention. American Inventor, the embodiment of the ultimate entrepreneurial dream, celebrates American ingenuity by having contestants compete for $1 million dollar prize.
The show kicks off with national casting calls where a panel of expert judges will be presented with everything from the whacky to the heart warming. The field will be narrowed down to a group of finalists who are then given $50,000 in development money to refine their product. From this group, one struggling inventor will have their dream come true as their idea, vision and creativity will earn them the title of American Inventor.
