Refreshed reality franchises garner big numbers for Global and E!

Survivor Fans vs. Favorites spices up its regular batch of castaways with returning favourites, thus far maintaining a higher total audience than the past 3 installments of the series. Will it be a fan or a favourite who takes the ultimate Survivor? The finale airs May 12th.

The Donald added a new spin to his internship program, The Apprentice by inviting eager celebrities to prove their business savvy in the boardroom. The Celebrity edition has helped the show increase its national audience 30% versus its previous season in spring of 2007. Donald will pick his ultimate Celebrity Apprentice on the live two hour finale on March 27th.

And the “Biggest” reality refresh, Biggest Loser does a couples edition, which garnered the highest Biggest Loser premiere ratings ever on E! See who will be crowned The Biggest Loser on March 25th.

New Shows Continue To Bloom This Spring

Global and E! continue to roll out fresh new programming through March. First up, don’t forget the new game show from Mark Burnett, Amnesia, where contestants answer questions about themselves.

Also on Global, the powerful new legal drama Canterbury’s Law, starring Emmy award winner Julianna Margulies premieres in March along with immortal cop drama, New Amsterdam.

E! will premiere the new drama from the creators of “My So Called Life” and “Thirtysomething”, quarterlife.

Glenn Close Inflicts Damages!

Showcase features the most talked about new drama of last year with Damages starring Golden Globe winner Glenn Close. The price of success may be much higher than what one first year associate is willing to pay when she joins the law firm of Hewes and Associates. Leading the firm is the nation’s most revered and reviled high stakes litigator Patty Hewes (Close). Golden Globe nominee Ted Danson and Tate Donovan also star. Damages airs Mondays on Showcase.
